For this activity:

You will need The Internet and to write down your answers in your Mahara e-portfolio.

In this theme you have learnt that reflection is a purposeful activity in which you analyse experiences in order to learn and improve.

Think about an experience you had recently that you could learn from. Consider each section and bullet points:

Looking back at an experience, reflect on and describe:

·       Your expectations before the experience

·       How you approached it

·       Which parts you found easy/hard

Think about what you learned as a result:

·       How did your knowledge and understanding change?

·       What would you do differently if faced with a similar situation?

Consider how you might use your learning in the future:

·       How might you put into practice what you have learned?

·       What challenges might you face?

·       How would you deal with these?

.

Task:

Once you have considered your experiences, write down your reflections and complete a short essay. Keep it simple as it takes practice to become a reflective writer.

Share your reflections with a member of your family or a friend and ask for feedback. Have you explained what you learned and how you might use that learning?
