7.2.2 Barriers to entry

In this theme we learned that of Porter’s 5 forces, No.2 – Threat of New Entrants, firms in an industry try to keep the number of new entrants into the industry as low as possible by creating what is referred to as “barriers to entry”. 

Task: Select one of the barriers below and prepare a digital resource explaining how your chosen barrier can serve as a barrier to entry. 

Your digital resource could be a poster, a presentation, a Mahara page, a video or another of your choosing. Try to make the resource exciting, interesting and attractive to an intended audience. Be as creative as you can. 

You may want to show your resource to friends or family. Why not ask them for constructive feedback and try to refine you work further.
