111 English for Academic Purposes Portfolio Assessment
Speaking Portfolio Practice Version 1
Your 111 EAP module assessment is an online portfolio consisting of the following parts:
- Listening Part: 4 listening comprehension tasks
- Reading Part: 4 reading comprehension tasks
- Writing Part: 3 timed, online writing tasks
- Speaking Part: either: an online speaking examination conducted by an 111EAP Module teacher or 3 online speaking tasks (your teacher will confirm which speaking assessment you will complete.)
You will have to complete all portfolio parts in order to complete this assessment and get a grade for the module.
The task that follows is one of the tasks you need to complete for the Speaking Part of the portfolio. You have 20 minutes to complete this task.
In order to complete this task, you must:
- Prepare your recording device, e.g. phone, mp3 recorder, sound recorder on your computer. You will need it to record your response to this speaking task.
- Read the task information carefully
