For this activity:

You will need to write down your answers in your Mahara e-portfolio.

In this theme you have learnt that an executive summary is a short overview of the entire business plan.

Why do have an executive summary if everything is already in the business plan?

Task: List the items that should be included in an executive summary, explain the purpose and describe how it should be written.

Think of what a stakeholder might be looking for when reading an executive summary. You may want to do some research and get advice from entrepreneurs who have written executive summaries or investors that read them.

Write a short report expressing your opinion and justifying why you think that way.
