In this theme you have learnt that PESTLE analysis consists of components that influence the business environment. Each letter in the acronym denotes a set of factors that directly or indirectly affect every industry.

The L in PESTLE denotes legal factors. 

For this task, go to the UK Government website on employing people (https://www.gov.uk/browse/employing-people)

For each of the categories that you find on the page, there are many further pages giving advice on the legislation that governs how businesses must treat their staff.

Select 3 different categories and from each category describe the law(s) that businesses must adhere to. This should be a short summary that would serve as easy to understand advice for a colleague with no legal background.

For each of your selections, give examples of how different sectors of business are impacted by the law and how their day to day business is affected by it.

In your own words describe why the laws exist and who benefits from the laws. Give reasons to justify your answer.
