In this theme we learned the Marketing Mix is the set of controllable, tactical marketing tools that a firm uses to produce the response it wants in the target market. Most marketers organize their marketing mix into four categories. 

Starter: 

Think about/ research your favourite chocolate bar

Your tasks are to prepare a marketing mix for a new bar of chocolate. You should present this Marketing Mix digitally so that it can be shared online.  

Task 1 - Product 

Research logos for popular products 

What qualities would you want in a logo for your own bar of chocolate? 

Think up a brand name and a logo for your product (Don’t use one that already exists) 

Dream up a slogan for your product (memorable phrase) 

Task 2 - Price 

How much would you charge for your chocolate? You may want to research the prices of existing chocolate bars to see how they are priced. 

Why did you choose that price? 

What factors do you need to consider when pricing a product? 

Is your product competitively priced? 

Task 3 - Promotion 

How will you promote your own chocolate bar? You may want to research the promotion methods of existing chocolate bars to see how they are promoted.  

Prepare a small advertisement of your choosing 

How can you generate interest in your product so people buy it and continue to buy it in the future? 

Why do all businesses not advertise on TV and radio? 

Task 4 - Place 

Where will your chocolate bar be sold? Make a list of all the places (countries and shop names ) 

Why did you choose those places?
